LET’S Do It Brilliantly Awards 2022

Members of the public can nominate Bury Council and NHS Bury health staff (former CCG) for this year’s Let’s Do It Brilliantly Staff Awards for 2022.

The awards celebrate the achievements of staff working to improve the lives of the people of Bury.

The closing date is 5pm on Monday 24 October 2022, with the winners announced in December.

Councillor Tahir Rafiq, cabinet member for corporate affairs and HR, said: “Our LET’s Do It Strategy sets out the vision of where we want the borough of Bury to be by 2030. It represents a completely new relationship between public services, communities and businesses to work together to improve the lives of local residents.

“Our staff awards are designed to reflect that commitment, with four categories based on the LET’S principles of Local, Enterprise, Together and Strengths.

“Despite the many challenges we face we are making substantial progress with the Let’s Do It Strategy.

“Our staff are working with voluntary and community groups to support Bury residents throughout the cost-of-living crisis.

“Our regeneration schemes for Bury, Radcliffe and Prestwich are coming together, and progress is being made on plans for our other townships.”

Cllr Rafiq added: “We are working with our health colleagues across Greater Manchester in the new NHS organisation to support our residents.

“Our Children’s Improvement Plan is supporting our staff to work with our most vulnerable younger residents.

“And we are operating our plans to recover from the pandemic, while still conscious that Covid has not gone away.”
