Man in his 20s stabbed outside Rochdale Wetherspoons as police launch investigation

A man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed outside a busy pub in Rochdale town centre in the early hours of this morning.

Greater Manchester Police were called to Stationers Entry shortly after 2am on Saturday 1 November, following reports of a stabbing outside The Regal Moon Wetherspoons.

A man in his early 20s was found injured at the scene and taken to hospital for treatment. His current condition has not been disclosed.

The area outside the pub was cordoned off and forensics officers were spotted gathering evidence throughout the morning. Police confirmed no arrests have been made so far, and enquiries are ongoing.

Photos submitted by bystanders showed several officers at the scene and the pub's entrance sealed off by police tape. The cordon has since been lifted.

A GMP spokesperson said: “We were called just after 2am, 1 November 2025, to reports of a stabbing. A male was taken to hospital for treatment. Enquiries are ongoing.”

Police are asking any witnesses or anyone with relevant information to come forward.
