Shared ownership homes released at £7.1 million Green View development in Middleton

First Choice Homes Oldham Green View

Eight new shared ownership homes are now on the market at Mossylea Close in Middleton, part of the £7.1 million Green View development delivered by First Choice Homes Oldham (FCHO).

The three bedroom homes, built by Brookhouse Group on a former brownfield site, are being marketed under FCHO’s Fabric Living brand.

A typical example of the scheme shows a buyer could purchase a 40% share of a three bedroom house for £114,000, with options ranging from 25% up to 75% available.

Steve Agger, executive director of homes at FCHO, said the milestone represented an important step forward:

“We are pleased to be able to offer these shared ownership homes and it is an exciting milestone in the development as it nears completion. Shared ownership is a popular choice and a very good way for local people to take their first step onto the housing ladder. Many are also the family homes that are much needed in Middleton and they are energy efficient too.”

The wider Green View project will deliver 29 homes in total, including two two bedroom bungalows, three two bedroom houses and 24 three bedroom houses. Of these, 21 are affordable rent homes, set at no more than 80% of the local market rate.

All of the properties are fitted with solar panels and hold an A rated Energy Performance Certificate. Completion is expected by the end of the year.
