M60 closed near Prestwich after multi-vehicle crash saw two rushed to hospital

Traffic halted and delays expected following collision between junctions 16 and 17

Police and emergency crews are responding to a crash which has brought the M60 to a standstill between junctions 16 and 17 on the clockwise carriageway near Prestwich.

Traffic has been held since around 7.25pm following reports of a collision involving multiple vehicles on the stretch between the M61 Swinton Interchange (J15) and Whitefield (J17).
