Manchester Pride doubles low income ticket allocation with Autotrader backing

More people will be able to celebrate Manchester Pride this summer after organisers confirmed they are doubling the number of discounted tickets available, thanks to headline partner Autotrader.

The scheme offers 50% off Mardi Gras and Gay Village Party tickets for people on limited incomes, helping those who otherwise could not afford to attend take part in one of the UK’s biggest LGBTQ+ celebrations.

Discounted tickets will remain on sale until the festival begins or until they are sold out, with eligibility checks required and allocation handled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Mark Fletcher, chief executive of Manchester Pride, said:
“Accessibility and inclusivity are at the heart of everything we do. Partnering with Autotrader has allowed us to make Manchester Pride more affordable for more people than ever before. It means more voices, more joy, and more representation at the heart of Manchester’s celebrations.”

Christos Tsaprounis, people and culture director at Autotrader, added:
“We’re proud to stand with Manchester Pride in making sure the event is as accessible as possible. Our team is passionate about supporting the LGBTQ+ community, and doubling the number of low income tickets is one way we can help ensure more people can take part in this incredible celebration.”

Autotrader, the UK’s largest automotive marketplace, employs more than 1,200 people across Manchester, London and Hemel Hempstead, with over 10% of staff identifying as LGBTQ+. Its employee network will once again join the Manchester Pride Parade, and the firm continues to back LGBTQ+ charities across Greater Manchester.

Manchester Pride remains one of the city’s biggest cultural festivals, contributing an estimated £27.5 million to the local economy each year. The event provides training opportunities for hundreds of volunteers, showcases grassroots artists, and procures services from LGBTQ+ owned businesses across the region.
