A critically acclaimed show described as “the ultimate feel-good experience” is bringing its pub-based musical magic to the Manchester Opera House in May 2026.
Fresh from the West End and an Olivier Award nomination, The Choir of Man will tour the UK and Ireland next year, with Manchester among the cities set to host the energetic production. Performances will run from Tuesday 5 to Saturday 9 May 2026, with general ticket sales now available via ATG Tickets. https://www.atgtickets.com/shows/the-choir-of-man/opera-house-manchester/
Created by Nic Doodson and Andrew Kay, and directed by Doodson, the show has been a worldwide success thanks to its unique blend of high-energy choreography, live music, and a celebration of community and friendship, all set in a fictional pub described as “the best pub in the world”.
The cast of nine multi-talented performers serve up a lively mix of musical theatre and pop classics, with hits from artists such as Queen, Katy Perry, Sia, Paul Simon, Adele, Avicii and Guns N' Roses among the set list.
Audience members can expect a night of immersive entertainment complete with real beer on stage, live instruments, and a set that resembles a working pub. The show has earned five-star reviews across the board, with Broadway World calling it “full of raucous cheer” and the Daily Mail labelling it “exhilarating”.
The production will form part of the show's wider UK and Ireland tour throughout 2026. It follows an acclaimed West End run, international success in the US and Australia, and sold-out performances at the Edinburgh Fringe.
Recommended for ages 10 and over, the production includes on-stage alcohol use and references to adult themes but contains no swearing. The running time is approximately two hours, including an interval.
