Bury begin at home and Ramsbottom start on the road as NWCFL fixtures confirmed

Bury will begin at home to Glossop North End whilst Ramsbottom United will travel to Wythenshawe for the opening game of the 2023/24 season.

This morning the North West Counties league confirmed fixtures for the opening month of the season, with the full fixture list being published after the Northern Premier League have announced their fixtures, to allow for ground-sharing teams to avoid clashes.

Both Andy Welsh & Steve Wilkes have some interesting games in the opening few weeks of this season.

Bury will face Glossop North End at home and Colne away in the opening week before taking part in the FA Cup.

Fixtures against Wythenshawe Town (A), Chadderton (H), Padiham (A), Cheadle Town (H) & Charnock Richard (A) will follow.

Whilst the Rams face Wythenshawe on the road first up before hosting FC Isle of Man in midweek.

After the FA Cup weekend on the 5th, the Rams will take on Barnoldswick (H), AFC Liverpool (A), West Didsbury & Chorlton (H), Prestwich Heys (A) & Glossop North End (H).

Both Bury & Ramsbottom will take part in the Emirates FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round on August 5th, the draw for which we are expecting on Friday (7th July).

Whilst in the Izuzu FA Vase, the Shakers have a bye to the second round proper in November, the Rams will start their Vase campaign in the 1st Preliminary Round on Saturday 26th August. Ramsbottom will find out their opponents for that tie on Friday as well, meaning their fixture with Prestwich Heys will be moved.

Radcliffe don't begin their Northern Premier League campaign until Saturday 12th August, their fixtures are expected in the coming weeks.
